Acquisition of a leading provider of GIS, web-based mapping, architectural and engineering software increases breadth of offerings by StarDyne Technologies Inc.

March 14, 2008, Kelowna, BC –The Government Solutions Division of StarDyne Technologies Inc. (GSD) is pleased to announce the addition of Pacific Alliance Technologies Inc. (Pacific Alliance) to its Group of Companies. Pacific Alliance is a leading provider of GIS, web-based mapping, architectural and engineering software, specializing in the customization, implementation, training, and support of these solutions.

Since its inception in 2001, StarDyne Technologies Inc. (StarDyne) has rapidly increased its presence in the public sector market. With 10 acquisitions plus organic growth, StarDyne has recognized a compounded annual growth rate of over 43%. With multiple offerings in the same sector, GSD has an unparalleled understanding of the market. As part of StarDyne each Group Company has access to tremendous expertise — much more than any company would have on its own.

“I am delighted that Pacific Alliance has joined the StarDyne team.  Pacific Alliance has a number of exciting opportunities and, as a member of StarDyne, has a solid foundation for the next stage of growth,” said Ron Begg, COO of GSD. “We are excited to bring the next wave of software and services to market and look forward to building on Pacific Alliance’s leadership position.”

With the synergy between public works and GIS solutions and the strong relationship between municipal and GIS solutions, over 500 StarDyne customers can choose from an even broader array of alternative solutions. “This dynamic company also brings valuable GIS skills and solutions to our group,” says Ron Begg. “There are a number of opportunities with other StarDyne companies to deliver value to our clients by integrating applications with mapping technology.  Over the next few months we will be exploring these opportunities in detail through dialogue with our companies and their clients.”

“The adoption of GIS and CAD tools in the 1990s merely allowed Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) and Geospatial professionals to accomplish their work faster. Meeting the demands of the growing backlog of Infrastructure work requires workflow and business model innovations supported by true business system integration,” says Chris Webber, President of Pacific Alliance. “StarDyne’s Enterprise products, together with our iVAULT product, help our clients meet these demands through gains in productivity.”

StarDyne Technologies Inc. is a technology company focused on the local government and education areas of the public sector. A growth driven company, StarDyne has invested substantially in its companies through acquisitions, product development and market expansion and now serves over 550 customers in its Government Solutions Division and 100 School Districts servicing over 5,000 schools in its Education Solutions Division.
